Problem Child is very prolific in the Soca space, His penmanship in crafting hits and performer as made him a staple of this vibrant genre that the world is slowly catching on to. Vincy Bad Boy, Johnny Fontainne Aka Problem Child as now released Problem Again his 1st full length body of work
Problem Child delivers an album that is soulful, funky, and vibrant from start to finish. Carefully selected tracks make an excellent soca statement. Slick vocals and lyrics combined with cool collaborations and soca rhythms produce an album I would want to listen to again.
Every Praise Feat Valerie Need starts the album off with a slower pace and track. The lyrics are beautiful with ‘brand new day’ and ‘protect me’ reflect faith and the beauty of life.
Life is a beach & Rum, Mas & Party both have Caribbean beats and sounds. Instant sunshine and positive vibes. It is hard not to feel happy to these tracks and I will challenge you not to get up and dance. Mas & Party is one of my favourites on the album. Oh my gosh remains upbeat, sexy, and flirty and will be a big soca hit.
Thief Piece and Back Seat Ride both have a unique funky beat that has summer vibes all over them. The lyrics are meaningful and relatable and will connect the listener. ‘Think about it’ suggests relationships and breakup and indicates lady trouble. Mine all mine has the opposite vibe of good times, good vibes, and love. Upbeat, funky track.
No Games has a softer tone with a sexy Latino influence. Lyrics ‘stop playing hard to get’ indicate the rhythm is playful and fun with a good summer beat. Nasty Up has a much harder tone, with a faster base track. The lyrics are deeper but remain catchy and funky and will be a big fete classic.
Right Right Now has a lighter, fun feel to the song. A summer track about enjoying life, Caribbean style with beautiful ladies. Guaranteed to transform your mood. Colors have an incredibly unique feel of Latino combined with Caribbean vibes, celebrating everything that is life, love, beautiful colors, and humanity. Flavah has a very edgy street style to it. Soft vocal background with a trance bass compliments the lyrics nicely. I really enjoyed this track.
Sick Head is a faster, harder track on the album with great vocals which makes for wicked tune and great beat. Drink & Party ft Noah Powa is a classic soca track with a Caribbean influence. Dancing is life. Good vocals and collaboration. Great soca sound. We doh Farid is a lively track, upbeat, and full of high energy. I loved this track. The album finishes with Shake it up ft Kevin Crown and whopping track to end with. Brilliant. Problem Child deserves a 9/10 as he made me want to ‘shake it up’ throughout the album.
Kutti876 – Mikhail Francis – A Jamaican-born musical artist whose style of music is soft reggae. His Debut Ep Kutti876 Live has a sexy beat, with sparks of Latino influence. An Ep with an intense vibe, proper chilled out from start to finish.
Gyalis Business – Sets the pace for the whole Ep. Slower reggae beat with lyrics about relationships, sex, and ladies create a spicy first song. Gone up has a much lighter, upbeat feel to the track and references a rich life of money and ladies. Paris, I felt had a slick dancehall beat which gave it a nice summer vibe, a good track to get the ladies up dancing nice and close.
Fall in Love – This song has a real chilled out beat with lyrics ‘give you everything’ and ‘make you fall in love’ talk of love, relationships and 21st Century dating. Smooth vocals and sexy rhythms. Lifestyle has a unique sound to the rest of the Ep, electronic beats, good lyrics that are captivating to the imagination of ‘champagne living’ and the ‘lifestyle’ we all dream of.
Accusation is clear from the title that the song is going to be raw and have vocals with feeling. The lyrics speak of cheating, relationships, and heartache, ‘tell you boyfriend how you are feeling’. Captivating words with heartfelt soul.
Everybody Miss You Is a beautiful tribute to a friend. A song that the listener will feel and connect with. We all can relate to pain in our lives. Stunning lyrics ‘gone to soon’ hits hard of the pain of losing someone you love.
Brand New changes the feel of the Ep back to the sexier vibe as before. This track is about sexual energy, brand new love, and real feelings. A serious hot reggae track. Confessions continues with the dirty beat, maintaining the intensity and sexual chemistry in the lyrics.
Yellow Kush –Is the track I see being the big hit. Super chilled out vibes, nice soft beat and catchy lyrics will instantly connect with the fans who will be ‘puff puff’ enjoying the Ep.
Unique sound. Slow, underground feel with some serious spiced up lyrics and beats. Overall great Ep 8/10. Take a listen, What are your thoughts on this Ep
Sean Paul’s unique voice and vocals combined with special collaborations make for a funky, upbeat dancehall album. Live N Living is Sean Pauls Seventh studio album and the 1st album of his to be released by his label Dutty Rock Productions. Live N Livin Album is a bold statement just from its name plus the numerous collaborations on the project from veterans to newcomers, This Live N Livin album is a reminder and a display that dancehall is a force, and artists of all statue of the sphere can unite. There are 22 collaborations on this 16-track album Buju Banton, Mavado, Agent Sasco, Busy Signal, Govana, Chi Ching Ching Intense, Skillibeng, Damian Jr Gong Marley, and StoneBowy to name a few are a part of this body of work. We hope this is the start of a trend amongst artists in the dancehall and reggae community.
Live N Livin the Album Out Now on all Platforms, commences with Buss a Bubble ft Sotto Bless, Looga Man, Ras Ajai, Chi Ching Ching, Delly Ranx has Sean Pauls signature flirty, teasing lyrics with each artist demonstrating their worthiness to be on the track. Nice upbeat tune, lyrics “shake it take it” will have the ladies ‘shaking it’ dancehall style.
Boom ft Busy Signal & Spaceship ft Suku have a similar upbeat reggae tone & sharp Sean Paul vocal. These songs are dedicated to the beauty of women and the vocals are catchy, playful, and a floor filler. Beautiful lyrics from Suku complimented the track perfectly. Real Steel ft intence and The Plug ft Chi Ching Ching are both good energy, summer tracks, and will have the ladies on the dance floor.
Dem Nuh Ready Yet has Strong Sean Paul vocals with a Latino influence – good reggae beat, dancehall track with a nice Summer vibe with Leftside complimenting the track with his unique voice. Crazy ft Buju Banton had a good beat, sharp, and flowed nicely on the album you cannot mistake Bujus deep tones been on this song. Schedule feat Damina Jr Gong Marley had a much slower beat with a different vibe to the rest of the album. It screamed Jamaican vibes, simply ‘enjoying life’ softer reggae, nice lyrics.
Money Bag is a dancehall classic and will bring the beautiful ladies to your money bag, it will be one for the club. Excellent collaboration with Govana. Protect Me has a slower vibe to the track. Strong lyrics give the song depth and meaning and talk of Sean Pauls journey. Lyrics such as Every action brings a reaction speaks volumes of gaining strength and moving forward, we all have protection if we believe.
Lion Heart (Radio Edit) had an instant happy beat and one of the songs that stood out for me. The lyrics are relatable and raw. ‘misery loves company’ surround yourself with good people and rise above the haters is relevant to society today. Guns of Navarone (Remix) and Danger Zone reflects on the current world we live in with Sean Paul creating vocals and lyrics with a strong beat and meaning. Life we Livin feat Squash) had a fun 80’s electric sound with reggae beats, slower than other tracks on the album but still maintaining a good funky vibe. I’m Sanctify (Remix) Is a good track and remix. The lyrics of the song, happy, upbeat, fun, and compliment the title perfectly. I visualized sunshine, beach, and lots of light. Everest was a great track to end on with lyrics ‘never look back’ and respect taller than Everest was powerful. Sean Paul is making a statement through his words and vocals. His voice is unique, and I agree with his lyrics in this track as I believe he makes the album ‘feel effortless’.
